Amanda Li

My name is Amanda Li and I am an undergraduate student at NYU, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies and Social Work. I have a passion for understanding how to better support those who are struggling with their mental health as I strive to learn about psychiatric conditions, their symptoms, and their interventions. I am committed to understanding the diagnosis and treatment of disorders and conditions, as I am particularly dedicated to advancing an understanding of mood and anxiety disorders. As my minor in psychology and CAMS provide me with knowledge of conditions and behaviors aligned with diagnosis and treatment, I also chose to minor in social work to understand the broader macro systems of society and welfare that impact individuals and their mental well-being. While continuing my education in psychology, I aim to gain experience in working with a variety of different age groups through my role as an Early Childhood Associate Teacher to understand where I will potentially specialize.
