Research Assistant Volunteer
Lauren is a rising senior Biology (Pre-Med) student at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University minoring in Chemistry and Psychology. At A&T, she studies the mechanisms by which bacteria acquire mutations to antimicrobials. This is her third summer conducting neuroscience research and in the future she hopes to explore how trauma impacts the developing brain. After graduation, she plans to attend medical school in hopes to become a child psychiatrist and serve underrepresented communities. She is very excited to join the Thomason lab this summer and delve more into her interests.
