Data Research Assistant

I am a psychology major at New York University with a minor in child and adolescent mental health studies. I currently work as a volunteer with the Data Processing Team for the HEALthy Brain and Child Development Study, where I work with EEG data from children and families. I also have experience working as a undergraduate research assistant in the Translational Neuroscience Lab at NYU Langone, where I study neural connectivity in Alzheimer's disease. I analyze and quanitfy data and use techniques like histology and confocal microscopy to derive data. Outside the lab, I serve as a crisis counselor for the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, where I support people going through emotional distress (e.g., anxiety, depression, or suicidal ideation). I previously worked as a medical assistant, at an urgent care where I gained experience caring for patients of all ages, including children. I plan to pursue a doctoral degree in clinical psychology. My goal is to become a child trauma psychologist who combines research and clinical care. I am especially interested in how early experiences shape children's mental health and development.
