Research Assistant Volunteer

Tina (Cristina) is a rising junior at New York University (NYU), studying psychology with plans to apply to dental school. She wishes to become an orthodontist that's able to integrate psychology into her practice along with the importance of oral health care to provide patients with the best treatment possible. In addition to her academic pursuits, Cristina is actively involved in various extracurricular activities, including volunteering, leadership, and research. Prior to joining Dr. Thompson's lab, she conducted research in neuromodulation that focused on the use of noninvasive brain stimulation therapies and other emerging digital technologies to reduce symptom burden and to restore cognitive and motor function, with a specific focus in multiple sclerosis patients. In her free time, she enjoys exploring nature, painting, and playing the violin.
